Church History

Friendship Baptist Church has been serving the community since its first service in 1938. Those who founded the church wanted Friendship Baptist to be a neighborhood landmark, a spiritual anchor, and a place that meets the needs of the people. This desire has not changed! The staff at Friendship Baptist Church are here to serve God by serving one another.

Ryan Emmons

Senior Pastor

Ryan Emmons and his wife Denise, graduated from Bible college and worked for seven years in Indianapolis and Kentucky, then joined Friendship Baptist in 2017. After a transition year, Pastor Emmons took over as Senior Pastor in 2018. They have five precious children and they love serving the Lord personally, as a family, and as a church family.

Associate Pastor

James French is a recent graduate of West Coast Baptist College He assists in all aspects of ministry but with a great passion to help our youth grow in their relationship with Christ.

David Sibley

Associate Pastor

David Sibley and His wife Rachel both graduated from West Coast Baptist College and have been in ministry for a number of years. Before joining our staff, he was the Pastor of Grace Baptist Church here in Wichita, KS. Pastor David oversees our music ministry, outreach, and Bible study groups and has a great passion to teach the Word of God and make it applicable to our everyday life.
